Children's Program
An integral part of the Transitional Living Program at all sites is the Children's Program. The program’s goal is to create a safe, healthy environment for children to develop the skills necessary to understand and cope with their family's crisis.
This is done through development of children's groups and activities that address such issues as:

Self-esteem building

Relaxation techniques

Understanding how substance abuse and domestic violence impact families

Gardening

Arts and crafts

Individualized special time with children

Individualized parenting meetings

In-home parenting classes and support groups

Guided family recreational outings

Linkages to outside services such as:
- School
- Counseling
- Recreational options
- Big Brothers/Big Sisters
- Assisting adults and children in advocating for themselves
