Family Services

The Family Services Division of Redwood Community Action Agency (RCAA) provides diverse and comprehensive services to homeless, disabled, and low- to moderate-income clients. Our services include:

• Emergency Shelter Program
• Transitional Living Program
• Children's Program
• Multiple Assistance Center
• Referrals to the MAC
• Case Management

RCAA offers education, coordination and encouragement in the client's work through the barriers to self-sufficiency. A client may have one pressing need or a combination of issues to be addressed.

From initial intake through permanent supportive housing to independence and self-sufficiency, RCAA's Family Services Division is continually challenging itself to develop and refine strategies that assist families to move from crisis into stability and beyond. Continued and targeted support is necessary for the development of healthy, stable, thriving families along all points of the continuum of care. We are committed to identifying any gaps and providing services and support where necessary.

RCAA is an essential member of the emergency network responsible for information and referral around specific issues and resources within Humboldt County.
