CITY OF BLUE LAKE
HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAM
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
You might notice some of your friends and neighbors fixing up their homes and wonder how they can afford to make those necessary repairs. It may be some of them are benefiting from the City of Blue Lake's Housing Rehabilitation Program.
The City of Blue Lake has been awarded housing rehabilitation grant funds to help maintain its housing stock from the California State Department of Housing and Community Development. These funds are currently available through December, 2009. The city has contracted with RCAA to administer the programs and disburse loan funds in the form of low interest and deferred payment loans. If you have housing repair problems and haven't been able to afford to get them fixed, we might be able to help you.
The program is for low-income homeowners and landlords willing to sign a rent limitation agreement.
All qualified homeowners are eligible for a 15 year payment deferral, with an option for an additional 15 year deferral. Borrowers over 60 years of age, disabled or on fixed incomes are eligible for deferred loans for up to 30 years.
Low Interest Loans
For owner/investors:, loans up to $60,000 for single family residences and $60,000 per unit for multiple units for 15 years at an interest rate of 2.5%.
